City of Lubbock to Conduct a Neighborhood Deployment

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock’s Code Administration Department will conduct a neighborhood deployment in the Kings Dominion area on Wednesday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., officials announced.

The targeted area is bordered by Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, East Erskine Street, Loop 289, and Teak Avenue. A temporary field office will be set up at 2005 Erskine Avenue.

During the deployment, code inspectors will be identifying and addressing violations related to junked vehicles, nuisance weeds and rubbish, substandard housing, and zoning infractions. Inspectors will also engage with residents to educate them about city ordinances and may issue citations or begin abatement proceedings.

To support cleanup efforts, Solid Waste Services will provide a roll-off dumpster at the field office location. Residents within the designated area may use the dumpster to dispose of bulky items such as furniture, appliances, and tree branches.
