Pavement Resurfacing Work to Begin on Avenue U

LUBBOCK, TX — Pavement resurfacing work will begin Wednesday, May 14, on Avenue U from Erskine Avenue to the Marsha Sharp Freeway, the City of Lubbock announced.

The project, conducted by Intermountain Slurry Seal Inc. under contract with the city, is expected to take approximately one day to complete, weather permitting. Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Drivers should expect changes to traffic flow in the area during construction. Signage and barricades will be in place to guide motorists through or around the work zone. The city advises drivers to plan for delays or consider alternate routes.
