Buddy Holly Center to Host Kids Art Camp in June

 

LUBBOCK, TX—The Buddy Holly Center announced it is hosting a summer art camp for kids ages 8 to 12. The camp will take place over four mornings in June and allow young artists to explore different materials and techniques.

Led by local art teacher Alita Lutrick, the camp will focus on work inspired by photographer Alisa Eykilis, known for her “trash can” series, according to a press release.

The exhibit will open at noon on Friday, June 20, and visitors are invited to stay and view Eykilis’ work in the Center’s Fine Arts Gallery.

The art camp costs $150 per student, and space is limited. 

Registration is open through June 6.
