Jonny Verbeten Trio to Headline Buddy Holly Center's Summer Showcase

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Buddy Holly Center’s Summer Showcase Concert Series continues on Thursday, May 29, with a performance by the Jonny Verbeten Trio.

According to a press release from the Buddy Holly Center, the trio, formed in 2022, features Jonny Verbeten on piano, Dustin Pedigo on upright bass, and Tristan Nock on drums. Their style is influenced by the Bill Evans Trio and classic 1960s New York jazz, and they perform a mix of jazz standards and original music.

The concert will take place in the Meadows Courtyard from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Guests may bring outside food, but outside drinks are prohibited after 5:15 p.m. Chairs, blankets, and similar items are not permitted inside the gates.

During the concert, visitors can also explore the Buddy Holly exhibitions and the Fine Arts Gallery for free.

The Summer Showcase runs every Thursday evening through August 14.
