LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock Water Utilities has released its 2024 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report, detailing testing results from January 1 through December 31, 2024. Officials say the city's drinking water continues to meet or exceed all federal and state regulatory standards.
The report, also known as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), is required under the federal Safe Drinking Water Act and is administered in Texas by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The CCR provides residents with important information about where their water comes from, how it is treated, and what it contains.
“Before potable water reaches a customer’s tap, our water supplies undergo rigorous treatment processes and are subjected to numerous tests and quality checks, to ensure that water is safe when it is delivered to our customers. City of Lubbock Water Utilities is committed to providing customers with safe drinking water at the most reasonable cost possible. We encourage our customers take time to learn about their water by reading our Annual Water Quality Report,” says Greg Baier, Interim Director of Water Utilities.
The report is available online in English and Spanish at www.mylubbock.us/waterqualityreport. Printed copies can be requested by calling 806-775-2586 or emailing [email protected].
