Experience History through Toys and Games at the Silent Wings Museum's Day of Play

LUBBOCK, TX – Discover how toys and games educated the American public about their patriotic duty and illustrated the values that would carry the nation through the difficult days of World War II.

The Silent Wings Museum is hosting a FREE admission “Day of Play” in conjunction with their exhibit In the Game Together: Toys for a Nation at War on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 1-5 p.m. 

Activities to Celebrate Day of Play

  • 1:00 – 5:00 PM: Benavides Smokehouse Food Truck
  • 2:00 PM: Curator's tour of the exhibit
  • 3:00 PM: Battleship Blitz
