Codes Neighborhood Deployment in Heart of Lubbock on Wednesday

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock’s Code Enforcement Department will conduct a neighborhood deployment in the Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The deployment area will be bordered by 19th Street, Avenue Q, 34th Street, and University Avenue. A temporary field office will be set up in the parking lot at 1911 34th Street, where residents can ask questions, report code violations, or learn more about city ordinances.

The initiative aims to identify and address violations related to:

  • Junked vehicles

  • Nuisance weeds and rubbish

  • Substandard housing

  • Zoning issues

During the deployment, inspectors will engage with residents, issue citations, and may abate violations when necessary. Solid Waste Services will also provide a roll-off dumpster at the field office for residents in the designated area to dispose of bulky items such as furniture, appliances, and tree branches.

The City encourages residents in the Heart of Lubbock Neighborhood to participate and take advantage of this opportunity to maintain a cleaner, safer community.
