City of Lubbock PSA: Live Fire Training and Controlled Burn

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock has announced that live fire training exercises will take place Thursday, October 30, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter (ARFF) Training Facility located at the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.

Officials are advising residents that smoke and flames will be visible from surrounding communities throughout the day.

This training is a routine and controlled exercise to maintain proficiency in aircraft firefighting and rescue operations.
