LUBBOCK, TX — The Silent Wings Museum invites the community to honor the service and sacrifice of the nation’s veterans during its Veterans Day Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025. Admission will be free from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., allowing guests to enjoy a full day of remembrance, music, and reflection.
The event will begin with a solemn ceremony at 11 a.m., featuring the Estacado High School Color Guard presenting the colors. Lubbock Mayor Mark McBrayer will issue the City of Lubbock Veterans Day Proclamation, followed by remarks from Dr. Ron Milam, who will speak about the historical and cultural significance of Veterans Day.
The All Saints Episcopal School Children’s Choir will perform patriotic selections honoring the courage and dedication of those who served in the U.S. Armed Forces.
After the ceremony, guests are encouraged to write messages of appreciation to active service members and veterans and pick up a remembrance poppy to wear in honor of their service.
The day will conclude with a Big Band Performance by Finessence, bringing the spirit of the World War II era to life with music that lifted hearts both at home and abroad.
A cash bar and light refreshments will be available during the performance.
