City of Lubbock Launches Holiday Ornament Scavenger Hunt

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock is inviting residents to take part in a new seasonal activity as it launches its first Holiday Ornament Scavenger Hunt, beginning at 2 p.m. Monday, December 8, and continuing through Friday, December 19, excluding weekends.

Ten holiday ornaments will be hidden at notable locations across the community. Each weekday, the City will release clues on its social media platforms to help participants track down the ornaments. Residents can follow @cityoflubbock on X, Instagram, and Facebook for daily hints and updates.

Anyone who finds an ornament can bring it to Citizens Tower to redeem a prize and keep the ornament as a keepsake.

City officials say the scavenger hunt is intended to bring people together, encourage outdoor exploration and highlight places that make Lubbock feel welcoming during the holiday season. Families, friends and neighbors are encouraged to spend time together, discover new corners of the city and create lasting memories.

*City of Lubbock employees are not eligible to participate in the event.
