East 8th Street Road Closure to Begin Monday

LUBBOCK, TX — Construction on a new sanitary sewer main will begin Monday, Jan. 12, on East 8th Street between Oak Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, city officials announced.

Utility Contractors of America will oversee the project, which is expected to last through Feb. 9, weather permitting. Detours will be posted in the area, and motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes when possible to avoid delays.
