Lubbock Public Health to Host East Lubbock Block Party

LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock Public Health will host its East Lubbock Block Party on Saturday, May 30, offering a free, family-friendly event.

The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dollar Tree parking lot, 1807 Parkway Drive.

Organizers say the block party will serve as both a community celebration and a health and resource fair, providing access to local services in a welcoming environment. Activities will include food trucks, games, music and local vendors.

The event is being coordinated by Lubbock Public Health’s Prevention Resource Center along with the Helping Every Adolescent Reach Dreams (HEARD) Coalition, Manos Unidas West Texas Coalition and the YWCA Youth Leadership Development (CYD) Coalition.

Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend. Organizers say the event is designed to bring families together while promoting health awareness and access to local support services.

For more information or vendor opportunities, residents can contact Lubbock Public Health.
