Lubbock to Host World Environment Day Celebration June 5

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The city of Lubbock will host a free, family-friendly World Environment Day celebration on Wednesday, June 5, from 4-8 p.m. at Hodges Community Center.

The annual event, held at 4011 University Ave., highlights environmental stewardship and encourages residents to learn more about sustainability, conservation and community involvement.

Activities will include food trucks, bounce houses, booths featuring local organizations, games, interactive activities, and prizes and giveaways.

At 7 p.m., attendees are invited to gather at the Demonstration Garden inside the Arboretum for a free Lubbock Master Gardener session, where participants can learn practical gardening tips and sustainable landscaping practices.

The event is free and open to the public. Residents are encouraged to attend with family and friends.
