Which West Texas Cities Donated the Most to Trump's Campaign?

 

LUBBOCK, TX — With just two weeks until Election Day, citizens across West Texas have shown significant support for the 2024 Presidential Election by donating to Donald Trump's campaign over the past two years.

Looking at these contributions, we studied the Federal Election Commission's data to see how much each major city in West Texas has contributed to Donald Trump's campaign and identified the top 10 donors from those cities.

According to the data, Lubbock ranks at the top of the list with over $9 million donated to the Donald Trump 2024 campaign. Next is San Angelo, with $5.3 million. Midland, Odessa, and Abeline have an average of around $2.5 million in donations to Trump's campaign.

Note that in response to the 8% inflation in 2022, the Federal Election Commission has raised contribution limits for the 2024 election cycle. Individual donors can now give up to $3,300 per candidate per election, up from $2,900. This allows a total of $6,600 for both primary and general elections and potentially $9,900 in runoff races.

Limits for national party committees have also increased, with the maximum annual contribution rising from $36,500 to $41,300 and special national party committee accounts increasing from $109,500 to $123,900.
