FRISCO, TX — Fantasy football owners and Dallas Cowboys fans can finally rejoice. The Cowboys and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb have reached an agreement on a new contract, the team announced Monday. The deal makes Lamb the second-highest-paid non-quarterback in NFL history.
Lamb signed a four-year, $136 million contract, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported around 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26. The contract includes $100 million in guaranteed money and sets a wide receiver record with a $38 million signing bonus. Lamb will earn $34 million per year, placing him just behind the Minnesota Vikings' Justin Jefferson, who makes $35 million annually.
The primary source of offseason drama for the Cowboys has centered around Lamb’s contract situation.
With the new deal in place, Lamb is expected to be available for the Cowboys' season opener against the Cleveland Browns.

Lamb solidified his status as one of the NFL's elite receivers last season, leading the league with 135 receptions. He finished the year with 1,749 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.
The Dallas Cowboys will open the 2024 season on the road against the Browns on Sept. 8, with kickoff scheduled for 3:25 p.m.
