Texas Tech Sells Out Home Opener Against ACU

LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech announced Thursday it has officially sold out of its primary ticket inventory for Saturday’s season opener against Abilene Christian at Jones AT&T Stadium.

The sellout announcement pertains only to Texas Tech’s primary ticket inventory with more than 60.000 fans expected for Saturday’ opener. Fans still wish to see the Red Raiders host ACU that do not already have tickets are encouraged to utilize SeatGeek, the official third-party ticket provider of the athletics department.

Single-game tickets for each of Texas Tech’s remaining six home dates are still on sale through the Athletic Ticket Office. Tickets can be purchased at any time via TexasTech.com or by calling 806-742-TECH during normal business hours.

As a reminder, all football tickets remain 100 percent mobile only, including in premium areas. Texas Tech will introduce a new “tap and go” mobile ticketing system this season to assist fans with quick entry each gameday. Texas Tech will no longer accept screenshots of mobile tickets, as QR codes have been removed from all mobile tickets. Instead, fans will place their downloaded mobile ticket near scanners that will identify each mobile ticket wirelessly.

Kickoff between the Red Raiders and Wildcats is slated for 6:30 p.m. Saturday, with television coverage provided via ESPN+ as well as over the airwaves through the Texas Tech Sports Network.
