LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech volleyball (5-1) will hit the road this weekend to compete in the UTRGV Tournament on Thursday evening, September 12. The Lady Raiders will face the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV), Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, and Houston Christian over the two-day tournament.
The Lady Raiders are slated to begin the tournament against UTRGV at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. The Vaqueros (4-2), playing their home opener at the UTRGV Fieldhouse, boast a strong home record, having gone 20-5 over the last two seasons.

On Friday, Texas Tech will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi at 12:30 p.m., followed by a matchup against Houston Christian at 4 p.m.
Texas Tech holds an undefeated combined 19-0 record against the three teams. The Red Raiders played all three opponents within the last two seasons, including wins over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (3-4) and Houston Christian (2-4) in 2023.
