WICHITA FALLS, TX – Lubbock Christian University (LCU) volleyball snapped a five-match losing streak with a commanding 3-1 victory over Midwestern State at D.L. Ligon Coliseum over the weekend. The Lady Chaps triumphed by scores of 24-26, 25-23, 25-14, and 25-9, marking their first Lone Star Conference win and their first road victory of the season.
LCU's offense was led by an impressive performance from Payton Murray, who registered 17 kills and hit .357 for the match. Bryleigh Schweer and Lily Bickley contributed 15 and 14 kills, respectively, in a balanced offensive effort. On the defensive end, Leddy Rae Guinn tallied a remarkable 34 digs, while Kiana Fallaha and Kayton Genenbacher added 16 and 14 digs, respectively. Bickley also made her presence felt at the net with seven blocks.
Game Notes:
- Payton Murray and Bryleigh Schweer both recorded career-highs in kills, with Murray, a local from Holliday High School, posting 17 kills.
- Leddy Rae Guinn's career-high 34 digs were the most by an LCU player since 2019.

LCU continues its road stretch on Friday at 7 p.m. (CT) as they travel to Portales, New Mexico to face Eastern New Mexico in another Lone Star Conference matchup at Greyhound Arena.
