LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders (4-1, 2-0) hit the road this weekend to face off with the Arizona Wildcats (3-1, 1-0) at Arizona Stadium in Tucson on October 5. The game will be broadcast nationally on Fox at 10 p.m. this Saturday. The Red Raiders jumped out to a 2-0 start in Big 12 Conference play this season for the first time since 2013 and play their first Big 12 road game against Arizona this weekend.
This matchup will mark the first meeting between Texas Tech and Arizona as Big 12 Conference opponents, though the two teams have a long-standing history from their time as Border Conference rivals, having met 33 times from 1931 to 1959. The Red Raiders hold a dominant lead in the all-time series at 26-5-2.
The game will be covered by FOX, with Connor Onion handling play-by-play duties, joined by analyst Mark Helfrich in the booth and Allison Williams reporting from the sideline. Fans can also stream the game using the FOX Sports app. Additionally, the Texas Tech Sports Network will provide radio coverage through 46 affiliates in Texas and New Mexico, as well as on SiriusXM channel 384 and the Varsity app.
Following their road matchup, Texas Tech will return to Jones AT&T Stadium on October 19 for their Homecoming game against Baylor. The Red Raiders have already drawn strong crowds this season, ranking No. 9 in the FBS for average attendance at 59,280, with two sellouts in their four home games thus far. Limited single-game tickets remain for Homecoming and the season finale against West Virginia, as the November 9 game against Colorado has already been announced as a sellout.
Fans looking to attend remaining home games can purchase tickets through the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office or online at TexasTech.com.
