LUBBOCK, TX—Texas Tech Baseball, in collaboration with the Big 12 Conference, announced its complete 2025 schedule on Thursday, October 31. The schedule features matchups with nine 2024 postseason teams, including a season-opening weekend series at North Carolina from Feb. 14-16.
After facing North Carolina, Texas Tech will return to Lubbock for their home opener against UC Irvine, a team that went 45-14 in 2024 and advanced to the Corvallis Regional Final. The Red Raiders will then compete in the Las Vegas College Baseball Classic, facing Illinois, Texas, and Washington from Feb. 28 to Mar. 2 at Las Vegas Ballpark.
A midweek series at UC San Diego (Mar. 4-5) precedes the season’s longest road trip. The six-game stretch begins at Grand Canyon, a 2024 NCAA participant, and includes the start of Big 12 play at Houston (Mar. 14-16). Texas Tech will then host TCU in Lubbock from Mar. 21-23.
Following a series against Cincinnati (Apr. 4-6), Tech will continue Big 12 matchups, including road games against Kansas State and Arizona State. April also features matchups against traditional rivals and new opponents, including Baylor and Arizona.
A May series against West Virginia in Morgantown will be followed by Tech’s final home games, culminating with a matchup against UCF. The regular season wraps up at BYU from May 15-17, marking Texas Tech’s first trip to Provo.
The postseason kicks off with the Big 12 Tournament’s new 12-team, single-elimination format at Globe Life Field. From May 30, NCAA Regionals begin, followed by Super Regionals and the College World Series in Omaha from June 13-23.
