Lubbock-Cooper Volleyball Ready for the Regional Final

LUBBOCK, TX — After another playoff victory in the Regional Semifinal, Lubbock-Cooper's volleyball team is two wins away from a state final appearance. The Lady Pirates will play Argyle on Friday, November 15, in the Region 1 Final for a shot at the state tournament.

Lubbock-Cooper has had an incredible playoff so far in 2024. The Lady Pirates defeated Wichita Falls Memorial, Burges, and Azel, dropping only a single set to Memorial in the process.

The Lady Pirates now set their sights on Argyle in the Region 1 Final. Like Lubbock-Cooper, Argyle stomped their way through the playoffs, not dropping a single set, with state title aspirations on the line.

It will be a tough test for Lubbock-Cooper. However, Head Coach Mike Moffitt, who is in his first year at Lubbock-Cooper, knows a thing or two about winning tough matchups. Last season, Moffitt led Amarillo High to an undefeated home record and set Amarillo High up as one of the perennial powerhouses in 5A Volleyball during his tenure as head coach.

The Regional Final will be played at Clyde High School on Friday, with the first set beginning at 6:30 p.m.
