WOLFFORTH, TX — The Frenship Tigers dominated the Montwood Rams in the 6A Bi-District home playoff game Friday night at Peoples Bank Stadium. The Tigers exploded for 42 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Despite Montwood's efforts, Frenship continued to control the game, finishing with an impressive 77-21 win.

From the moment the game began, the Frenship Tigers were fired up and ready to play. On the opening snap, quarterback Holden Phillips hit a wide-open Chase Campbell for a quick touchdown, giving the Tigers a 7-0 lead just 10 seconds into the game. And they didn’t stop there. After the Rams turned the ball over, Frenship quickly capitalized, with Phillips connecting with Noah Ingram for another touchdown, extending the Tigers' lead 14-0.
With 7:10 left in the first quarter, Frenship regained possession after another turnover on downs. Defensive back Damian Lozano took advantage of the opportunity, fielding the punt deep in the backfield. Lozano weaved through Montwood defenders and sprinted to the end zone for a touchdown, putting the Tigers up 21-0. Not letting up, quarterback Holden Phillips quickly found Texas Tech commit Layton Stone for another touchdown, extending the lead to 28-0, all within the first quarter.
The Tigers’ offensive onslaught continued in the first quarter, with Frenship’s Holden Phillips and Jordan Hernandez each adding a touchdown to the growing lead. By the end of the first quarter, the Tigers had pushed ahead 49-0.
The pace of the game slowed in the second quarter as the Montwood Rams started to settle into a rhythm, though they still struggled to break into the red zone. With the Tigers holding a strong first-quarter lead, fans were anticipating a potential blowout that could push the score into triple digits.
The Tigers, however, kept their foot on the gas, adding two more touchdowns—Graham Stephens and Mateo Roberson each finding the end zone. Despite the growing deficit, Montwood finally began to click offensively, and with about 30 seconds left in the half, the Rams found themselves in the red zone. Quarterback Damian Briano connected with Sebastian Roa for a touchdown just before the break, sending both teams to the locker room with the Tigers in control, 63-7.
The second half saw both teams slow the pace, running the clock down as the game neared its conclusion. Frenship added two more touchdowns, with Mateo Roberson grabbing his second of the night and Austin Morris catching a pass from backup quarterback Jaden Johnson. The Montwood Rams also found the end zone twice, with Gene Palmer and Devin McMahon each scoring a touchdown. As the game wound down to 0:00, both teams traded scores, but the Tigers maintained their lead throughout the rest of the game. The Frenship Tigers beat the Montwood Rams in the Bi-District Championship, 77-21.
