FRISCO, TX — The Dallas Cowboys announced on Thursday, December 26, that star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb has been ruled out this weekend and will miss the final two games of the 2024-25 season.
Lamb, who has been playing through an AC sprain in his shoulder since Week 9, will now undergo a rehabilitation process two weeks ahead of schedule.
The Cowboys released a statement on Lamb’s status on Thursday afternoon.
"Additional examinations and scans this week on CeeDee Lamb's shoulder have determined that his injury has now progressed to a point that he will be listed as "Out" for the remaining two games of the season.
“He will undergo a process of treatment and rehabilitation for his shoulder, is not currently expected to require surgery and is projected to make a full recovery."
“Lamb, who has been playing through an AC sprain in his shoulder since Week 9, will now undergo a rehabilitation process that is not expected to require surgery and one that should lead to a full recovery.”
Despite the injury, the Cowboys Star had another productive season, ranking near the top of the NFL with 101 catches, 1,194 yards, and six touchdowns. He is the first Dallas Cowboys ever to eclipse 1,000 yards in four of his first five seasons.
With the Washington Commanders’ last-second win over the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday, the Cowboys were officially eliminated from playoff contention in 2024. Despite that knowledge, Cooper Rush, Lamb, and the rest of the Cowboys came out and beat the Tampa Bay Bucs at home last Sunday night.
While Ceedee played last week, the Cowboys elimination had to be the biggest factor in shutting the star wide receiver down two weeks early.
