RICHARDSON, TX – Lubbock Christian University’s Maci Maddox earned her first Lone Star Conference (LSC) Offensive Player of the Week honor for her stellar performances in back-to-back conference road victories last week, as announced by the LSC on Monday.
Maddox, a fifth-year guard and a graduate of Frenship High School from Lubbock, is on the brink of a major career milestone, sitting at 989 career points. Her offensive prowess and leadership were on full display, propelling the Lady Chaparrals to key victories over Eastern New Mexico and West Texas A&M.
Against Eastern New Mexico, Maddox delivered 14 points, highlighted by a flawless 4-for-4 start in the first quarter. She followed this against West Texas A&M, where she recorded her second career double-double with 18 points and 10 assists. Her 10 assists tied for ninth-most in a single game in program history since 2008.
Maddox’s contributions were critical in LCU’s dominant performance against West Texas A&M. She added five points during a pivotal third quarter where the Lady Chaps shot 61.5% from the field, extending their lead to 22 points. Over the two games, Maddox combined for 32 points, 13 assists, and an undeniable impact on her team’s offensive execution.

- Assists Leader: Maddox leads the LSC and ranks 16th nationally with a 2.23 assist-to-turnover ratio.
- Top Playmaker: Her 58 assists this season (3.9 per game) rank second in the LSC.
- Durable Contributor: Maddox is second in the LSC and 17th nationally in minutes per game (36.5).
This recognition marks Maddox’s second career LSC weekly honor, having previously earned Defensive Player of the Week on Nov. 14, 2023. Her recognition also breaks Grace Foster’s streak of weekly awards for LCU this season.
