Texas Girls High School Basketball Updated State Rankings

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The updated rankings for the 2024 UIL High School Girl's Basketball season were released on Monday, January 6. Several local high schools from around the South Plains made the list.

In 6A, the Frenship Lady Tigers came in at No. 18 overall at the start of district play. Aaliyah Chavez and the Monterey Lady Plainsmen lead the way in 5A at No. 2. Next, two teams from the South Plains are ranked in 4A. The Levelland Loboettes came in at No. 16, with Seminole landing at No. 18.

The small schools were also widely represented.  No. 14 Idalou was the only 3A school, while No. 3 Farwell, No. 5 Whiteface, No. 12 Abernathy, and No. 13 New Home filled the 2A rankings. Finally, No. 16 Whitharral, No. 17 Borden County, and No. 21 Jayton round out the 1A rankings.
