LISD Adjusts Weekend Athletic Schedule Due to Weather

LUBBOCK, TX — Due to recent weather and road conditions, Lubbock ISD announced that schools in the area changed previously scheduled basketball, soccer, and wrestling events this weekend.

Below are the new scheduled times for these games and matches:

Friday, January 10, 2025:

  • Monterey Girls Basketball @ Plainview: 4:30 p.m. (Varsity ONLY)
  • Monterey Boys Basketball @ Plainview: 6:00 p.m. (Varsity ONLY)
  • Monterey Girls Soccer @ Coronado (Lowrey Field): 5:00 p.m.
  • Coronado Boys Soccer @ Monterey: 5:00 p.m.

Saturday, January 11, 2025:

  • Lubbock High Girls Soccer @ Caprock (Dick Bivins): 2:00 p.m. (Varsity ONLY)
  • Caprock Boys Soccer @ Lubbock High (Chapman): 2:00 p.m. (Varsity ONLY)
  • Amarillo High Girls Basketball @ Coronado: 2:00 p.m. (Varsity ONLY)
  • Amarillo High Boys Basketball @ Coronado: 3:30 p.m. (Varsity ONLY)

Coronado, Lubbock High, and Monterey Boys Wrestling at the Hereford Rumble Event are now scheduled for Saturday ONLY.
