LUBBOCK, TX — The No. 11 New Home proved why the Lady Leopards were one of the best teams in 2A when they took down Sudan, 94-34, to claim a Bi-District Championship.

The Lady Leopards took the lead early and never looked back. Led by ten points from Dyllan McMinn, New Home put up 30 points in the first quarter. That offensive explosion continued in the second, and the Lady Leopards took a 49-21 lead at the half.

Sudan played their hearts out but could not hang with New Home. The Hornets managed 13 points in the final two periods, but New Home let loose with another 45 points in the second half.

Makenna Johnson led all scorers in the evening with 18 points, followed by Dyllan McMinn, who dropped 16 points, and Kirbi Johson, who scored 15 points.
Sophomore Addison Cornelius led Sudan with 12 points, all free throws.
New Home advances to the Area Round. The matchup date, time, and opponent are still TBD.
