HUMBLE, TX — The Texas Tech women’s golf team placed 13th at the Chevron Collegiate, wrapping up the two-day tournament Tuesday at the Golf Club of Houston. The Red Raiders shot a 7-over-par 295 in the final round to finish the event at 19-over (883).
The 16-team field featured five Top 25 programs, including tournament champion No. 16 TCU, which claimed the title with a dominant 34-under-par 830.
Libby Fleming led Texas Tech in the final round with a 1-over-par 73, while teammates Maja Ambroziak, Klara Hurtova, Kylee Loewe, and Danique Stokmans each posted 2-over-par 74s.
Hurtova finished as the top Red Raider on the leaderboard, tying for 47th place. The sophomore closed strong, carding birdies on two of her final three holes. Fleming recorded her best 54-hole performance of the season at 3-over-par 219, tying for 50th place. Her score marked the second-best 54-hole total of her career, behind her 2-under 214 at last year’s Red Raider Invitational.
The Red Raiders return to action March 3-4 at the Juli Inkster Invitational, hosted by San Jose State at Meadow Club in Fairfax, California.
