LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech Athletics announced Thursday morning that the Red Raiders’ Big 12 men’s tennis match against Utah has been rescheduled for a 4 p.m. start this afternoon at the McLeod Tennis Center.
Fans planning to attend are advised to continue avoiding the main campus and instead access the tennis complex via Texas Tech Parkway.
The McLeod Tennis Center was unaffected by Wednesday night’s campus closure, which caused electrical outages across most of Texas Tech. University officials have deemed the facility and surrounding area safe for both players and spectators.
Following the matchup with Utah, Texas Tech will host BYU at 12 p.m. on Saturday before returning to non-conference play with a 4 p.m. match Tuesday against Abilene Christian. Both matches are currently scheduled to be held at the McLeod Tennis Center, weather permitting.
Additional updates regarding Texas Tech athletic events, including the men’s basketball selection show on Sunday at United Supermarkets Arena and upcoming spring football practices, will be announced as details are finalized.
