The Red Raiders (8-16) are aiming to rebound after being swept in a weekend series at Kansas State. The three-game set ended with a 5-4 walk-off loss on Sunday, marking Tech’s first walk-off defeat since April 28, 2023, at Kansas. Tech left 13 runners on base in the finale and managed just 12 total runs across the series.
Freshman right-hander Connor Mohan (0-0, 6.10 ERA) will make his first career start for Texas Tech. A native of Burleson, Mohan has appeared in five games this season, logging 10.1 innings.
The Sooners (22-5) will counter with left-hander Cameron Johnson (2-0, 5.59 ERA).
Tuesday’s meeting marks the 27th consecutive season the two programs have met, but the first since Oklahoma departed the Big 12 Conference for the SEC. The last non-conference matchup came in 2022, a midweek game in Amarillo.
