Texas Tech Golf Prepares for Big 12 Championship

LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech men’s golf will compete in the 2025 Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship beginning Tuesday at Southern Hills Country Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The three-day, 72-hole stroke play event will run April 22-24 and feature all 16 Big 12 programs.

The Red Raiders, ranked No. 33 nationally, enter the week as the No. 6 seed. The field includes four top-25 teams, headlined by No. 4 Oklahoma State, No. 5 Arizona State, No. 14 Utah, and No. 22 Arizona. BYU and Texas Tech round out the top contenders, ranked just outside the top 25.

The championship returns to Southern Hills for the fifth time in league history and first since 2018. The format features 36 holes on Tuesday, followed by 18-hole rounds on both Wednesday and Thursday. Texas Tech will tee off in the opening round Tuesday between 7:30-8:18 a.m. from hole No. 10.

The Red Raiders will field a lineup featuring Calum Scott, Charlie DeLong, Connor Graham, Tim Wiedemeyer, Price Hill, and Sean Keeling. Scott enters the week ranked No. 15 in the latest PGA Tour University standings, with DeLong at No. 33. Freshman Connor Graham, who has led the team in scoring in multiple spring tournaments, is ranked No. 65 nationally among all collegiate golfers.

Texas Tech's best team finish at the Big 12 Championship was runner-up in 2014 and 2015. On the individual side, former standout Ludvig Åberg claimed back-to-back Big 12 individual titles in 2022 and 2023. Chris Ward earned Tech’s first conference individual title in 2010.

This year marks Texas Tech’s 12th tournament of the season and eighth of the spring. The Red Raiders’ top team finish came at The Prestige in La Quinta, California, in February, where they placed second at 13-under-par.

The championship will be streamed live on ESPN+ for Thursday’s final round. Live scoring for all three days will be available via Scoreboard.

Up Next: Texas Tech will await the NCAA Men's Golf Selection Show, set for April 30 at 12 p.m. CT on Golf Channel. The Red Raiders’ Rawls Course will serve as one of six NCAA Regional sites, scheduled for May 5-7.
