TULSA, OK — Led by freshman Connor Graham’s top-10 finish, Texas Tech surged to a third-place team finish Thursday at the Big 12 Men’s Golf Championship at Southern Hills Country Club.
The Red Raiders fired a final-round 6-under-par 274, the lowest round of the day among the 16-team field, to move up the leaderboard and secure their second top-three finish at the conference championship in the past three seasons.
Graham, who tied for seventh individually at 2-over-par 282 after 72 holes, was named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team. He is the first Texas Tech freshman to earn the honor since Wes Artac in 2015 and the program’s first All-Tournament selection since Ludvig Åberg in 2023. Graham shot a 2-under 68 in the final round, his lowest score of the week.
Sophomore Tim Wiedemeyer posted the team’s best round of the tournament with a 3-under 67 on Thursday, climbing 16 spots to tie for 14th place at 7-over 287. Senior Calum Scott shot an even-par 70 to finish tied for 23rd, while senior Charlie DeLong carded a 1-over 71 to tie for 34th.
Texas Tech’s four countable scores on Thursday were each single-round tournament lows for the Red Raiders. The final round surge placed Tech at 28-over-par 1148 for the championship, just one shot ahead of fourth-place Houston.
Oklahoma State won the team title, finishing 2-under-par 1118, while Arizona State placed second at 9-over 1129.
The Red Raiders now await the NCAA Selection Show on April 30, where they aim to secure their 23rd consecutive regional appearance. NCAA Regionals will be contested May 12-14 across six sites nationwide.
