Texas Tech Announces 2025 Hall of Fame Class

LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech Athletics revealed its 2025 Hall of Fame induction class Tuesday, highlighting eight Red Raider greats across football, track and field, baseball, golf, and soccer. The class will be officially inducted on Nov. 7 during a ceremony in Lubbock and honored the following day during Texas Tech’s football game against BYU at Jones AT&T Stadium.

Headlining the group are record-setting quarterback B.J. Symons, Olympic gold medalist Janine Beckie, and two-time NCAA high jump champion JaCorian Duffield. They are joined by football standouts Aaron Hunt and Ryan Aycock, baseball All-American Matt Kastelic, All-American golfer Gabriella Dominguez, and Big 12 champion sprinter Cierra White.

Class of 2025 Highlights

  • B.J. Symons, Football (2001-03): Set an FBS record with 5,833 passing yards in 2003, earning the Sammy Baugh Trophy and finishing 10th in Heisman voting. He still holds numerous NCAA and school records from his lone season as a starter.

  • Janine Beckie, Soccer (2012-15): Texas Tech’s all-time leader in goals (57), game-winning goals (22), and points (130). A two-time Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year, Beckie led Tech to its first Big 12 title and NCAA Tournament berths in all four seasons. She won Olympic gold with Canada in 2021.

  • JaCorian Duffield, Track and Field (2011-15): Won NCAA indoor and outdoor high jump titles in 2015, one of just six Red Raiders to win multiple national titles. He owns several school records and competed internationally for Team USA.

  • Aaron Hunt, Football (1999-02): Texas Tech and Big 12 all-time sack leader with 34.0. The defensive end finished his career with 108 tackles in his senior year, the most by any Tech defensive lineman in program history.

  • Ryan Aycock, Football (2000-03): Recorded 11 career interceptions and 338 tackles, ranking in the top 10 in both categories at Tech. Played a key role in four consecutive bowl appearances during the early Mike Leach era.

  • Gabriella Dominguez, Golf (2009-13): First Red Raider women’s golfer to earn All-America honors. Helped lead Tech to four NCAA Regional appearances and owns the school’s best NCAA Championship finish (T-8th).

  • Matt Kastelic, Baseball (1995-96): Three-time All-American and program record holder for single-season hits (114) and career stolen bases (97). Led Tech to its first two NCAA Tournament appearances.

  • Cierra White, Track and Field (2012-15): Three-time Big 12 champion and 11-time All-American. Holds Texas Tech’s records in the 55-meter dash, 100 and 200 meters (indoor and outdoor), and several relays.
