CARLSBAD, CA — Texas Tech freshman golfer Connor Graham received a pair of national accolades this week, being named to the 2025 PING All-Region Team and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-Freshman Team.
Graham, who led the Red Raiders during the 2024-25 season with a 71.1 scoring average across 41 rounds, became the first player in program history to earn a GCAA All-Freshman Team selection since the organization began tracking the honor in 2005.
He paced the team in multiple statistical categories, including seven Top 20 finishes, 16 rounds under par, 25 rounds at even-par or better, and seven eagles. He also ranked second on the team with 11 rounds in the 60s.
Graham was one of 25 players named to the PING All-Region Team’s Central region, which includes standout players from programs such as Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, and Iowa State. On the national level, he was one of only five players named to the GCAA All-Freshman Team, joining Daniel Bennett (Texas), Wheaton Ennis (Texas A&M), Gunnlaugur Árni Sveinsson (LSU), and Clark Van Gaalen (Oklahoma). Bennett was named the 2025 Phil Mickelson Outstanding Freshman Award winner.
The PING All-Region teams recognize top NCAA Division I golfers across six regions and 82 schools. The GCAA, founded in 1958, supports collegiate men's golf coaches and recognizes achievements in athletics, academics and civic leadership.
PING, a leading golf equipment company founded in 1959, sponsors the annual All-Region selections through its continued support of collegiate golf.
