LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech’s Homecoming matchup against Houston will kick off at 6:30 p.m. on October 11 with national coverage on FOX, the Big 12 Conference announced Monday as part of its 12-day television selections.
This marks the third prime-time appearance of the season for the No. 12 Red Raiders (4-0, 1-0 Big 12) and the second in as many weeks. Texas Tech travels to Houston this Saturday for a 6 p.m. start on ESPN.
Texas Tech has already announced an advanced sellout for the Kansas game, one of five home games sold out this season. Fans seeking tickets for the Homecoming contest are encouraged to purchase through SeatGeek, the official secondary ticket provider of Texas Tech Athletics.
The Oct. 11 game will mark the 26th all-time meeting between the Red Raiders and Jayhawks and the first in Lubbock since Texas Tech’s 43-28 win late in the 2022 season. Texas Tech is 23-2 all-time against Kansas, winning 16 of the last 17 meetings and each of the last four.
Kansas enters the week at 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Big 12 play, coming off a narrow loss to Cincinnati. The Jayhawks opened their league slate with a 41-10 victory over West Virginia and will face UCF on the road this weekend before traveling to Lubbock.
Kickoff times for Texas Tech’s remaining Big 12 schedule will be determined on a rolling 12- or six-day basis by the conference’s television partners, including FOX, ESPN and TNT Sports.
