LUBBOCK, TX — Christian Anderson has been invited to the NBA Draft Combine, scheduled for May 10-17 in Chicago, following an All-America sophomore season with the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Anderson is one of 73 players selected to participate in the annual showcase ahead of the NBA Draft, which will take place June 23-24 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The sophomore guard set a program single-season record with 244 assists and knocked down 108 3-pointers, the second-most in school history. He led the Big 12 Conference and ranked fifth nationally with 7.4 assists per game while also averaging 18.5 points per game, fifth-best in the conference.
Anderson shot 41.5% from beyond the arc (108 of 260) and earned multiple All-America honors, including third-team recognition from the Associated Press, USBWA and Sporting News, along with first-team All-Big 12 accolades.
Through two seasons at Texas Tech, Anderson has totaled 983 points, 321 assists, 89 steals and 223 rebounds across 68 games. He recorded a career-high 34 points in a season-opening win over Lindenwood and dished a career-best 13 assists against Oklahoma State. Anderson also has eight career double-doubles and is a 40% shooter from 3-point range.
Players who entered the draft early have until June 13 to withdraw from consideration. To retain NCAA eligibility, players must withdraw by May 27.
