LUBBOCK, TX — Texas Tech Athletics announced Thursday it has sold out its primary ticket inventory for the Red Raiders’ Sept. 26 non-conference finale against Sam Houston at Jones AT&T Stadium.
The sellout comes more than two months before the start of the 2026 season and continues a trend of strong attendance for Texas Tech football. During the 2025 season, the Red Raiders recorded sellout crowds of 60,229 fans in six of seven home games while capturing their first Big 12 Conference title. Texas Tech averaged 60,143 fans at Jones AT&T Stadium last season, breaking the previous school record of 58,934 set in 2014.
The Sam Houston game will serve as Texas Tech’s annual Agriculture Game and coincides with Parents Weekend on campus. The university will also host its Hall of Fame and Hall of Honor inductions that weekend, with the 2026 class to be announced later this summer.
Tickets remain available for the Red Raiders’ other six home games, including matchups against Abilene Christian (Sept. 5), Houston (Sept. 18), Arizona State (Oct. 17), Arizona (Oct. 31), West Virginia (Nov. 7) and TCU (Nov. 26).
Fans can purchase tickets for those games through Texas Tech’s official website or by phone. For the Sam Houston game, which is sold out, fans are encouraged to use the secondary ticket marketplace.
Kickoff time and television details for the Sam Houston matchup will be announced during the season through the Big 12’s broadcast partners.
