LPD Hosting Explorer Post Open House

LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Police Department is hosting its annual Explorer Post Open House from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27 at LPD Headquarters, located at 1205 15th Street.

Anyone between the ages of 14 and 20 years old can come to this event if they are interested in a future career in law enforcement. Law enforcement can meet and work with the future generation of law enforcement, according to their Facebook page.

Last year's Explorer Post event featured the chance to test out multiple areas of law enforcement including bomb squad, SWAT, and mounted patrol. The “Explorers” get hands-on experience that can lead them to a future of serving and protecting the Lubbock community.

Teens can stop by Lubbock Police Department Headquarters to learn more about how to sign up and what this program can do for their future careers.
