Hub City Pizza Joint Announces Permanent Closure

LUBBOCK, TX – Urban Brick Kitchen, a cherished Texas pizza chain in the Hub City, has officially announced that it will be closing its doors permanently. The restaurant confirmed they will be shutting down the Lubbock location on Wednesday, September 4th.

General Manager Clayton Medley took to Facebook to announce the news.

"It is true, we are going out of business," the post read. "That said, we’re on the lookout for investors and hoping to find some wild business ideas to help us go out with a bang!"

The Lubbock community took to social media to show their support for the restaurant, noting it as their favorite pizza restaurant in town and expressing their sadness over its closure.

Earlier this year, Urban Brick Pizza was faced with a traumatic exhaust fan fire that luckily did not cause much damage. Lubbock Fire Rescue reported that the fire was swiftly brought under control by the crews. The health department was also called to the scene.

The restaurant will continue to have regular hours of operation until its closure on September 4th.

Medley concluded the post with, “We look forward to serving you all these last few weeks. Thank you for the great memories, and for making us your one-stop pizza destination over the years.”
