LUBBOCK, TX – Team Luke Hope for Minds is hosting their annual 6th Annual 5k Fun Run tomorrow morning at Lubbock-Cooper High School, August 24, 2024. The event is to help support children and their families after brain injury.
According to the Team Luke Hope for Minds website, this year, they are adding a twist when supporters can run, walk, or wheel through vivid clouds of color for a great cause.
There will also be a “Touch-A-Truck” event featuring responder vehicles, a race car, and more at the event. Kids and adults can interact with the vehicles and meet the operators to learn about their jobs.
Registration will be $33 for everyone, and children under 4 are free. If you are a student, enrollment is $15, but you must show a valid college ID.
Schedule of events:
- Check-in will begin at 8:15 a.m
- Touch-A-Truck event will open at 8:30 a.m.
- Race will start at 9 a.m.
Although registration started earlier this month, supporters are still encouraged to sign up. Enrollment will include a TLHFM Color Run T-shirt, access to the Touch-A-Truck event, and the run itself. However, the website stated that t-shirts will be limited if you enroll after August 15th
