It was an exciting game last Friday in Lucas, Texas. The Pirates went back and forth with Leopards deep into the 4th quarter, ultimately coming out on top, 46-43. The win over a metroplex school is always worth celebrating, but the Pirates will have to refocus and prepare for another school that won a close game last week in the Coronado Mustangs.
The Lubbock Coronado Mustangs defeated Wichita Falls Legacy 41-34. This weekend should be an excellent test for Cooper in the Pirates home opener. Lubbock-Cooper hosts Lubbock Coronado on Friday, September 6, at Pirate Stadium in Lubbock.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
