Buddy Holly Center to Celebrate Buddy Holly’s 88th Birthday

LUBBOCK, TX – The Buddy Holly Center will host Buddy Holly’s 88th Birthday Bash on September 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The event, open to the community at no cost, will feature a day of fun activities listed below for all ages, according to a press release.

• Screening of The Real Buddy Holly Story 
• J.I. Allison House will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Guided Gallery Tour at 2:00 p.m. 
• Special performance by Junior Vasquez from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. 
• Children’s activities 
• Buddy Holly Bingo 

Light refreshments will also be available during the birthday bash.
