LUBBOCK, TX – The Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport will host live fire training sessions at the Aircraft Rescue Fire Fighter Training Facility from September 9-11, 2024, according to a press release.
This training exercise will involve controlled burns that will produce visible smoke and flames, which may be seen from surrounding communities. Residents are advised not to be alarmed by these sights, as they are part of routine safety drills.
