Blair Chiropractic Celebrates 75 Years of Practice

“Blair Chiropractic initially started in December of 1949 when doctor, William Blair, opened up his own upper cervical practice office in Lubbock, Texas. Within five years, doctor Blair was successful enough to design and build a state-of-the-art clinic on Avenue Q, south of 34th Street,” noted Doctor Elder.

“Not entirely satisfied with his success, William Blair decided to research and figure out how to help more people with neck and spine issues with less adjusting, twisting, jerking, or popping, thus creating a technique called ‘The Blair Technique’”

The Blair technique is a specialized chiropractic method that focuses on correcting misalignments in the upper cervical spine. This technique uses precise imaging to account for unique differences in each individual’s cervical spine anatomy. This personalized approach can make a significant difference in the effectiveness of the treatment, compared to other forms of treatment.

Doctor Elder mentions that even 75 years later, there have been over one thousand doctors trained all over the world in the Blair Technique with over 10,000 people that have come to Lubbock because of this technique. Around five million people have been helped with their health worldwide because of Doctor Blair.

“You could almost call him the Buddy Holly of chiropractic!” Elder exclaimed.

Blair Chiropractic is located at 1802 E 50th Street and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursdays. The chiropractic is closed on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays.
