City to Test Outdoor Warning System Siren This Friday

LUBBOCK, TX — The City of Lubbock will conduct a test of the Outdoor Warning System on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. The test will be a three-minute activation of the OWS sirens.

Please note that this is just a test and does not signal severe weather.

OWS tests are scheduled monthly on the second Friday. However, if the National Weather Service forecasts a 10% or higher chance of thunderstorms on the test day, the test will be canceled and not rescheduled.
