LUBBOCK, TX — The Texas Tech Red Raiders men’s golf team heads to Olympia Fields, Illinois, for their second tournament of the fall season at the 2024 Olympia Fields Fighting Illini Invitational. The tourney starts on September 20 and runs through September 22 at the prestigious Olympia Fields Country Club.

Team History at the Event: This marks Texas Tech's first return to the Olympia Fields Invitational since the 2015-2016 season when they finished 15th overall. The course is renowned for hosting major championships, including two U.S. Opens, and is listed among Golf Digest's "Top 100 Greatest Courses."
Red Raiders to Watch:
- Connor Graham: Freshman standout, making his second start after tying for 12th at the Inverness Intercollegiate with a 1-over-par finish.
- Calum Scott: Senior leader with 42 career appearances, looking to build on his Haskins Award campaign after a solid showing at the Inverness.
- Charlie DeLong: Senior, finished in the top 25 at the Inverness and aims to continue his consistent play.
- Tim Wiedemeyer: Sophomore, coming off a fifth-place finish at the Inverness with a strong 4-under-par performance.
- Ben Gregg: Making his first team start after a tie for seventh as an individual at the Inverness, finishing with a 2-under-par.
Looking Ahead: After Olympia Fields, Texas Tech will compete in the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) in Fort Worth, followed by the Big 12 Match Play event in October.
