LUBBOCK, TX — Lubbock Police officers and other emergency services responded to a call of a four-car crash near the overpass of South Loop 289 on East Slaton Rd on Monday, September 23.
Check out a video of the scene below:
At around 12:20 p.m. on Monday, a grey Nissan Altima looked to have rear-ended a silver Ford Taurus, which then caused a chain reaction, hitting the other two cars. The Taraus hit a Chevy Suburban, finally hitting a white GMC Sierra Truck. The extent of the damage is unknown, but the Altima and the Taurus had obvious front-end damage. The airbags in both of those vehicles were also deployed.
Our reporter on the scene observed one woman being taken to University Medical Center for unknown injuries.
Law enforcement reduced traffic traveling north-west bound on East Slaton Rd down to one lane. South-east bound traffic is unaffected at this time.
