LUBBOCK, TX — Chicken enthusiasts in Lubbock can look forward to the arrival of Dave’s Hot Chicken, a Nashville-style hot chicken restaurant that has been in the works since early this year.
Initially expected to open between late May and mid-June, vacant updates have left many wondering about the restaurant's status in the Hub City.
The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has confirmed that Dave’s Hot Chicken received approval for renovations on May 1, 2024.
The restaurant will take over the former Taco Bueno location at 6309 82nd Street.
As construction progresses, locals are hopeful that Dave’s Hot Chicken will soon bring its famous flavors to Lubbock.
