LUBBOCK, TX — Covenant Children’s Hospital is thrilled to announce its ongoing partnership with Spirit Halloween for the 15th annual Spirit of Children fundraiser, a collaborative initiative that plays a vital role in supporting pediatric care within the Lubbock community.
As the only faith-based, licensed, free-standing pediatric hospital in the region, Covenant Children’s heavily relies on community support to enhance the quality of care it provides. This year, funds raised from the Spirit of Children fundraiser will specifically benefit the art therapy group at the Relational Health Center and sustain the artists in residence program.
These efforts are designed to create a more comforting and stimulating environment for young patients, which is essential for their emotional and physical healing.
Over the years, this partnership has generated nearly $300,000 in support for Covenant Children’s. Previous contributions have enabled the hospital to hire a part-time child life specialist for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, expand the artists in residence program, and develop Lindsay’s Playroom—an essential space for play and creativity.
In addition to raising funds, Spirit Halloween hosts a special Halloween party for the patients, providing costumes and craft activities that help brighten their hospital experience.
Spirit Halloween hosts this event, with all proceeds directed towards Covenant Children’s Hospital each year. Shoppers can contribute by using a special coupon, which offers a 10% discount, with proceeds from those sales benefiting the hospital directly. Residents can participate by visiting any of the following Spirit Halloween locations in Lubbock:
- 5025 50th Street
- 6002 Slide Road
- 2721 50th Street
