No. 14 Texas Tech Golf Ready for Ben Hogan Collegiate

 

LUBBOCK, TX — The Texas Tech men’s golf team continues their fall season this week when the Red Raiders compete in the 2024 Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, hosted by TCU at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. Running from September 30 to October 1, this event will feature a strong field of 14 top-ranked teams, including eight currently in the top 25 of the Bushnell/Golfweek Coaches Poll.

The Red Raiders, ranked No. 14 nationally, will be looking to build on their solid start to the fall season in their third tournament of the year. Led by standout senior Calum Scott, Texas Tech is poised to make a strong showing in this highly competitive event, which will be played in a 54-hole, stroke-play format across two days.

  • Calum Scott's Return: Senior Calum Scott returns to Colonial Country Club after finishing tied for 8th with a 3-under-par in 2022, helping the Red Raiders secure a second-place team finish.

  • Freshman Debut: Sean Keeling from Dublin, Ireland, makes his Red Raider debut fresh off competing in the 2024 Irish Open. Earlier in the year, he finished fourth at the Spanish International Amateur.

  • Charlie DeLong: The senior aims to build on his strong finish at the Fighting Illini Invitational, where he posted a 54-hole card of 2-over-par (212) to tie for 22nd place.

  • Connor Graham: Freshman Connor Graham looks to improve after finishing tied for 32nd at the Fighting Illini Invitational, where he fired consecutive 1-under-par rounds.

  • Ben Gregg: Sophomore Ben Gregg returns to the Ben Hogan Collegiate after finishing tied for 52nd with an 8-over-par (218) last year at Shady Oaks.

Format Reminder: The best four of five individual scores count towards the team's score. 36 holes will be played on Monday, with the final 18 holes on Tuesday.
